This article is intended to assist users in understanding the process of revising the customer promise date for one or more shipments.
A shipment's customer promise date can be revised using the Revise Promise Date option available in the shipment's Actions menu. This operation can be done for a single shipment at a time, or in batches as a bulk operation. Revising customer promise dates will affect the Service Level Performance report.
Permissions: Only users with Account Manager, Admin, Manager, and Operator access roles are able to revise the customer promise date for shipments.
Revising the Customer Promise Date
1. Navigate to Shipping > Shipments on the Carriyo Dashboard. Select the desired Forward or Reverse shipment. There are two ways to revise the promise date of a shipment. One is done from the page itself and the other is done inside a specific shipment's Shipment Detail page as shown below.
The customer promise dates will be displayed in the Customer Promise Date column. Promise Dates are only set when there is a corresponding Service Level rule. To learn how to set up Customer Promise Service Level rules, visit this article.
The Customer Promise date will be shown in the Shipment Detail page.
2. Click on the Revise Promise Date option and assign the date & time using the calendar option and click on Ok. Click on Apply next.
3. Once the above operation has been successfully completed, the original and the Revised Promise Date will be visible on the Shipment Detail page.
4. For revising promise dates in bulk, select the required shipments (to select all, check the box in the table header), and click on more options and choose Set Promise Date from the list of actions.
Revising promise dates can have an effect on the Service Level Performance report. The toggle, if set to SLA Based on Revised Customer Promise, will display the report in terms of the revised promise dates which otherwise shows the SLA based on the original customer promise.
