This article demonstrates the steps to set up the Assignments page for carrier accounts.

The Assignments page is where you can manage the cost, network, and capacity profiles for carrier accounts. You can assign and handle these profiles directly from this page.

Permissions: Only users with Account Manager and Admin access roles are able to assign and manage profiles in the Assignments page.

Setting up profiles

1. Navigate to Settings > Carrier Management > Carrier Accounts on the Carriyo Dashboard. Select the desired carrier account and switch to the Assignments tab.

To assign profiles to the selected carrier account, click on the Add profile button. This will display the list of all existing profiles of which any one can be assigned. If a profile is already assigned, the Manage profile button opens up the assigned profile.

The three types of profiles that can be assigned are explained below.

Shipping Cost - Shipping Cost Profiles allow calculating estimated shipment cost of a shipment at the time of booking it. To learn how to create create cost profiles, visit this article.

Delivery Networks - Delivery networks allow defining the geographical coverage of a carrier account i.e., areas where the carrier account offer services. To learn how to create carrier networks, visit this article.

Delivery Capacity - Delivery capacity settings allow defining limits to the amount of shipments that can be assigned to a carrier account. Carriyo supports two distinct types of delivery capacity profiles - visit this article to read more about it and to learn how to create these profiles.

Both types of Delivery capacity profiles can be assigned to a carrier account.

2. Click on Save once all changes are made.
