As part of our upcoming release scheduled for Wednesday, 26th August, we are introducing a few updates to improve shipment management and the overall user experience in Carriyo:
Ready to Ship Status Separated from Carrier Pickup Request
Previously, marking a shipment as Ready to Ship automatically triggered a pickup request to the carrier, with no option to separate the two actions. This made it difficult for merchants with daily handover schedules to mark shipments as ‘Ready to Ship’ as soon as they were packed and ready to leave the warehouse.
With this release, we have introduced a new "Auto Schedule Pickup" toggle in the carrier settings page, giving you more control over when pickup requests are sent to the carrier.
What you need to know:
The Auto Schedule Pickup toggle will be automatically enabled for all carrier accounts that have the Auto Mark as Ready to Ship toggle turned on.
This toggle should remain enabled if you need pickup schedules to be sent to the carrier.
Disable it only if you wish to mark shipments as Ready to Ship without triggering a pickup request.
This toggle is only available for carriers that support a pickup request endpoint.
New Columns in the Shipment Export File
A new column called Date - Ready to Ship will be added to the shipment export file, showing the date when the shipment moved to Ready to Ship status. This date is already available in Carriyo and will now also be included in the export.
Two additional fields, Creation Source and Update Source, will also be included to provide more visibility on how shipments are created and updated.
If you consume the shipment export file in another system, please make sure it can support the additional columns.
User Interface Enhancements
We are also introducing some UI improvements across Carriyo, including updated buttons, checkboxes and dropdowns to provide a cleaner and more consistent experience.
We have also simplified table sorting:
The existing sort dropdown has been removed.
Sortable columns will now display a sort indicator next to the column header. To sort the results, simply click on the column name.
