In our latest release, we launched the following features and enhancements:

• Updates for Saudi National Address Compliance

• Aymakan Connector

Updates for Saudi National Address Compliance

To support our clients with the implementation of the Saudi National Address requirements, we have introduced several updates across Carriyo:

1. New Short Code Field

• We added a dedicated Short Code field: address_codes:
   

• Merchants have to capture the Saudi National Address Short Code in their sales channels (website, apps, etc.) and map it to this field with the type SAUDI_SHORT_CODE.

• This value will be passed to carriers in their dedicated field, for those who support it.

2. Saudi National Address Short Code Validation

   
   During Shipment booking, if a Short Code is passed, we will apply a validation check. If the format does not match the expected structure (4 letters + 4 digits), the shipment will move to an error status.
   You will then be able to edit the shipment, correct the Short Code, and try to book it again manually.

   If a Short Code is passed for a country other than Saudi Arabia, a validation check will also apply. Short Codes should only be used for Saudi Arabia.
    

3. Automatic Detection of Short Codes

For our clients using an existing field as a temporary solution, we will automatically scan the address and:

• Detect any pattern that matches a Short Code (4 letters + 4 digits)

• Extract the Short Code from the address

• Map it to our dedicated address_codes field

• Pass the value to carriers that support this change
   

4. Carriyo Standard Label Update

• The short code has been added to our standard label
  
  

   

• We have also added this to custom labels for clients who use them.
  If you are using a custom label, please contact us to confirm whether this update is included

   

5. Shipments Import & Export - File Structure Change

• We have added 2 new fields in the shipment import files : Dropoff Address Code - Saudi Short Code  and Pickup Address Code - Saudi Short Code

These fields allow you to pass the short code for both the pickup and dropoff addresses during shipment creation.
 

• In the export file, you will also find 2 new columns for the Dropoff Address Code - Saudi Short Code and Pickup Address Code - Saudi Short Code
   

6. Bulk Location Import - File Structure Change

• The new Short Code field is now available in the bulk import file: 
  
  

• During import, we validate the Short Code format (4 letters + 4 digits). If the structure is incorrect, the system will alert you:

  
   

7. Returns Portal - Pickup Address Update 

We have also added the Saudi Short Code field to the Returns Portal. If clients have enabled the option to allow customers to change the pickup address in the Returns Portal, then:

• When customers add a new pickup address, they will see a Short Code field.

• The field is not mandatory, but if a Short Code is entered, we will validate its format.

Aymakan Connector
