Carriyo enables you to create dedicated carrier accounts for assigning, managing, and tracking orders with your own fleet. You can configure multiple custom carrier accounts to accommodate different pickup countries.
To support this capability, we offer a Custom Carrier feature.
Permissions: Only users with Account Manager/Admin roles are able to create and manage carrier accounts.
Custom Carrier Account Setup
1. Navigate to Settings > Carrier Management > Carrier Accounts on the Carriyo Dashboard.
2. The page displays a list of all carrier accounts that have been previously created. To create a new custom carrier account, click on the add icon on the top right corner.
3. Search for custom and click on Select to create the carrier account.
4. In the setup dialog, provide all required details. Custom carriers will have Custom- prefix. Click on Next.
5. Your custom account has been successfully created. Click on Go To Account to modify settings.
6. In the Account Setup tab inside the carrier account settings page, ensure that the account is active. All settings are explained below.
General Settings
- Activate Carrier Account - For a carrier account to be properly assigned to shipments based on the automation rules and carrier networks it is assigned to, it must be active.
- Live Connector - This toggle doesn't affect custom carriers.
- Auto Mark as Ready-to-Ship - Enabling this option ensures that once the shipments are successfully booked, the status will automatically be updated to Ready to Ship. This is especially helpful in case of connectors. See this list of connectors that Carriyo supports and detailed guides on how to set them up.
Account Country and Account Currency are required fields.
Label Settings
When a shipment is booked, the default label generated will hold the value of whatever's configured in this dropdown.
For custom carriers, these are the labels supported. It is recommended to choose Carriyo PDF Label.
Merchant Settings
This setting keeps account of the Merchants that have the access to use this carrier account.
