This article demonstrates the steps to set up an UPS carrier account.
Carriyo supports creation of multiple carrier accounts for a single carrier. These accounts usually differ from each other in the type of services used.
All fields with an asterisk (*) are mandatory fields.
Permissions: Only users with Account Manager and Admin roles are able to create and manage carrier accounts.
Setting up a UPS account
1. Navigate to Carriers > Accounts on the Carriyo Dashboard. The page displays a list of all carrier accounts that have been previously created. To create a new UPS carrier account, click on the add icon on the top right corner. Click on Select to proceed with the creation.
2. Fill in the Account Name and Account Country fields and click on Next to continue the process.
3. Enter all the required details that UPS has provided and click on Next. If you need to contact UPS, click on the link provided at the bottom. See what these terms mean here.
5. Click on Go to Account to complete the account setup process.

The rest of the sections are explained below:
Authentication
Client ID*: The public identifier obtained when you first registered with UPS.
Client Secret*: Provided by UPS. The client ID and client secret are used to generate the access token for creating shipments, generating labels etc.
Shipper Number*: Shipper's six digit account number provided by UPS.
Carrier Account Details
Tax ID*: Shipper's Tax Identification number.
Service Code*: Service Codes are a group of codes assigned by UPS to represent different shipping services.
Packaging Code: Specifies the type of packaging that is to be used for packaging goods.
Other Shipment Charge Types: Specifies any other shipment charge, if required.
UPS Return Service Settings
Return Service Code: Specifies the Return Service Code (for return/reverse shipments) defined by UPS.
From Email Address for Label: If left empty then contact Email from Dropoff details will be used.
To Email Address for Label: If left empty then contact Email from Pickup details will be used.
