There are two ways to create an order via the Store App - from the orders page & using an existing address.
Permissions: Only users with Store App Admin access role are able to create orders.
Creating an order from the Orders page
1. Navigate to the Orders page on the Carriyo Store App. Choose the desired location from the dropdown provided on the top right corner. To create an order, click on the add icon on the top right corner.
2. If the order is for a new customer, enter all customer info details manually by clicking on + create new customer. Else, choose a customer from the dropdown list.
If you want to choose an existing address for a customer, choose one from the select address dropdown. Additionally, address can be changed for an existing customer - click on + create new address to do this.
Fill in all details in the Order Info section. See the next steps here.
Creating an order from an existing address
For regular customers or previously verified addresses, you can use the existing address to create an order.
1. Navigate to the Customers page on the Carriyo Store App. Select the the desired customer record to open the Customer Detail page.
2. From the Customer Detail page, choose the required address and click on Create Order.
3. This action will take you to the create order page with the Customer Info details already set. Fill in all required details in the Order Info section. See the next steps here.
Following steps
By default, the create order button action will create a forward shipment. To change this into a return/reverse shipment, change the Order Type to 'Return'.
If you want to book the shipment at a later time or there are details yet to be filled, click on Save Draft. Once all details are entered, click on Create Order. When this button is clicked, the shipment will be assigned a carrier based on the automation rules set up on the Carriyo dashboard.
3. Once the shipment is assigned to a carrier and successfully booked, all shipping related documents will be available in the Documents section for printing. Under Order Info section, if tracking page is configured, you will find the tracking page for the order.
The Shipment History section at the bottom provides more insight into the events that the shipment has gone through. Click on show details to know more about the event occurred, if it is displayed.
