In the Store App, customers are managed separately from Orders, unlike in the Carriyo Dashboard. However, a new customer record can only be created as part of an order.
The same customer can have multiple addresses. But if the same details are used to create a new customer record independent of the existing customer, it will be treated as a separate customer altogether.
How to add a Customer Record
1. Navigate to the Orders page on the Carriyo Store App. Choose the desired location, and add a new order using the add icon on the top right corner.
2. On the Create Order page,
- if you want to create a new customer, click on + create new customer and enter required details.
- if you want to add an existing customer with the same address or want to use the details of an existing customer and add a different address, choose a customer from the dropdown provided and follow the next step.
3. Address - From the select address dropdown, choose a predefined address or you can create a new address.

If an address is selected from the list, the existing address will be used, and no new address or customer record will be created.

If you edit the details of an existing address or if you choose to enter address details manually by clicking on + create new address, it will be treated as a new address, and a new address will be added to the existing customer record.
A new customer record with the provided address details will only be created if + create new customer was selected in the previous step.
4. Once the order is created, you can view the customer details and associated address(es) in the Customers page. Here, the address was changed, and thus, a new entry was created.
5. In the case of a new address being used with the same customer, it will show as below. A new address is added and the count has increased.
