This article serves as a guide for users to learn how to import and export locations.
In Carriyo, a Location represents a physical shipping location. At least one Location needs to be setup at the time of account creation to be able to execute certain tasks such as creating manifests and other important actions.
Typically, most account types in Carriyo require setting up Locations to facilitate shipping from and to specific points — for Forward and Reverse shipments respectively i.e., freeform addresses are not allowed.

Permissions: Only users with Account Manager and Admin roles are allowed to create locations.
Importing Locations
1. Navigate to Settings > Locations on the Carriyo Dashboard. The options provided at the top right corner of the page includes the import and export option. Here, is the option for importing Locations.
2. Clicking on the Import option will open a dialog box. Users can import a maximum of 250 locations at a time. Carriyo provides a template for facilitating the import process — clicking on the Download template here link will download a CSV/Excel file to the user's system. Upon filling the spreadsheet, the file can be uploaded using the + drag or select your file option and click on the Upload button.
3. The next step involves reviewing all records in the file.
The options are self-explanatory. The Export button helps users export desired location records. Once the records are reviewed, click the Import button to import all Locations into Carriyo.
Exporting Locations
1. Navigate to Settings > Locations on the Carriyo Dashboard. The export icon is highlighted in red.
Carriyo allows users to export a maximum of 25000 Locations at a time in a CSV file format. Users can review the data in all existing Locations by utilizing this option.
This popup will be displayed on the bottom right corner of the page once the Export option is clicked. To stop the process, click on the X icon.
