This article discusses the actions of importing, exporting and deleting items for a merchant in Carriyo.
Items represent the catalog of a brand and related information in the form of a list. Carriyo allows management of catalogs for individual merchants.
For Shopify connectors, the list of webhooks to setup includes Inventory items created, Inventory items updated & Inventory items deleted. When these webhooks are configured in Shopify, the changes will be reflected in Carriyo accordingly.
Uploading a new file will not replace the original catalog but rather be added, unless there are duplicate records.
Permissions: Only users with Account Manager, Admin and Manager access roles are able to import and export catalog items.
Importing Items
1. Navigate to Settings > Items on the Carriyo Dashboard. To upload the list, click on the upload/import option as highlighted here.
2. Click on 'Download template here' to download the template that Carriyo offers. Once the list is filled, upload it here and click on Next to start the upload process.
Note: At a time, only 50,000 items can be uploaded. Uploading a new file will create new items and update any existing items with a matching Item Code. To create a new list, delete the current catalog before uploading.
3. Once the process starts, the progress is displayed. To stop the process halfway (some items will be uploaded), click on 'Abort'. Click on the minimize option to let the operation run in the background. You can continue with other processes in the meantime.
4. Once the minimize option is clicked, the page will display an icon on the top right corner. Click on this to display the sidebar that contains the background process notifications.
5. Clicking on Close hides the sidebar. To view the dialog box again, click on Open.
6. Once the process is completed, click on Clear All. The uploaded or updated Items will now be displayed on this page. Click on the Columns option to change the columns displayed.
If the Non-returnable toggle is enabled for an item, customers cannot request to return the item in question via the Returns Portal. In the template, enter true for non-returnable items to be displayed as such. For returnable items, value can be null (empty).
Exporting Items
To export items, simply click on the export icon beside the import icon, as highlighted here.
The sidebar view will be enabled and the csv file will be saved into the system after some seconds.
Deleting Items
The process of deleting items is straightforward. Click on the menu (three dot) option and click on Delete.
Check the checkbox and click on Delete All to permanently delete all items. The progress of the deletion process will be displayed in the sidebar.
