This article demonstrates the steps to set up a Royal Mail carrier account.
Carriyo supports creation of multiple carrier accounts for a single carrier. These accounts usually differ from each other in the type of services used.
Permissions: Only users with Account Manager and Admin roles are able to create and manage carrier accounts.
Setting up a Royal Mail account
1. Navigate to Carriers > Accounts on the Carriyo Dashboard. The page displays a list of all carrier accounts that have been previously created. To create a new Royal Mail carrier account, click on the add icon on the top right corner. Click on Select to proceed with the creation.
2. Fill in the Account Name and Account Country fields and click on Next to continue the process.
3. Fill in all the required details and click on Next. Refer to this section for description of these fields. If you need to contact Royal Mail, click on the link at the bottom.
4. Click on Go to Account to complete the account setup process.

Carrier Account Details
Shipping Account ID: Shipping Account the shipment is being created for.
Shipping Location ID: Shipping Location the shipment is being shipped from.
Account Number: The account number given by the carrier.
Reference 1: The shipper's reference for this shipment - this is usually the shipper's order number that was provided to the consumer at the time the order was made.
Reference 2: Optional second reference for this shipment.
Business transaction type: Defines the type of business transaction.
Content type: Defines the type of content used in the transaction.
Royal Mail Service Code: Service codes provided by the carrier.
The Royal Mail service level of the service specified in the Service Code: The Service Level associated with the Service code selected.
Service Enhancements: Defines the type of service enhancement provided by Royal Mail.
Shipper EORI Number: Shipper's Economic Operators and Registration Identification (EORI) number.
Shipper VAT Number: Shipper's Value Added Tax (VAT) Number.
Destination EORI Number: Receiver's Economic Operators and Registration Identification (EORI) number, if applicable (i.e. if the receiver is a business).
Destination VAT Number: Receiver's Value-Added Tax (VAT) number, if applicable (i.e. if the receiver is a business)
Package Type: The package type used for the shipment.
Invoice terms of delivery: Defines the type of invoice terms of delivery
