For the past year, we’ve put a lot of effort into building a standard Tracking App that can be configured using Carriyo’s UX editor. The new version of the tracking app enables you to control the overall look and feel of the template: font, colours, headers/banners, and content translation. In addition, it enables you to embed a dynamic banner that can be linked back to your website. You can leverage this banner to announce new campaigns or collection drops.
This article provides a step by step guide on how to configure the Tracking App.
Theme
In the Theme section, you can configure:
- primary and secondary background colours
- primary and secondary text colours
- font of all text
- brand colour (the pointer in the shipment timeline)
- % of font zoom (think of it as a way to control the font size)
Images and Logo
In the Images and Logo section, you can upload:
- favicon (PNG or ICO file, 32 x 32 pixels)
- logo (SVG or PNG, maximum 1 Mbyte)
Content
In the content section, you can define the body of the page:
- Brand Display Name
- Content Translation Languages (Arabic or / and English)
- Page Title (The "Order Tracking" header)
- Customer Greeting Texts ("Hello Dana!")
You can also configure these subsections:
Shipment Status Description Text
This is the text that appears after the greeting message. You can configure this message by Shipment Milestone and Journey (delivery, collection, reverse).
Shipment Timeline Title
This is the text that appears on top of the shipment timeline.
Shipment Milestone Names
This is the text that appears as a milestone on the shipment timeline. You can configure this message by Shipment Milestone and Journey (delivery, collection, reverse).
Shipment Milestone Descriptions
This is the text that appears on the shipment's timeline and describes the shipment milestone. You can configure this message by Shipment Milestone and Journey (delivery, collection, reverse).
Other Settings
You can also configure whether or not to display the delivery type and the messages being returned by the carriers.
- Show Carrier Status Description in Stepper: these are notifications provided by the carrier whenever a shipment changes status (see screenshot below)
- Display Delivery Type (e.g Standard, Express)
- Display Carrier Tracking URL when available
- Show Multiple Failed Delivery Attempts
Customer Support
In this section, you can configuring the customer support section by displaying the details of your different support channels such as email, phone, and WhatsApp.
Social Links
You can also add links to your social media channels including:
- YouTube
- Tumblr
- Snapchat
- TikTok
Customer Feedback
If you are subscribed to CARRIYO's Customer Feedback feature, you can display the feedback widget directly on the Tracking page to collect feedback on the overall experience.
Banner
You can now add dynamic content to the Tracking page to announce new collections or promotions.
You can configure the following elements:
- Banner Button Text (e.g. "Shop Now")
- Banner Button Text Link (where to redirect your customers to)
- Banner Button Background Colour (e.g. white background)
- Banner Button Text Colour (e.g. black text)
- Banner Caption Text
- Banner Caption Text Colour
- Banner Caption Overlay Colour
- Banner Image Horizontal Alignment
- Banner Image Vertical Alignment
Note: You can only upload a PNG or JPG image with a maximum of 1 Mbyte.
Announcement
You can also announce important news by creating an announcement banner.
Top Navigation Bar
You can set a navigation bar that matches your website's experience, allowing customers to access your site directly from the tracking page.
For each category, you can map it to different links depending on language & country of the customer. You can also translate the category name to further localize the experience.
Footer
You can also set a footer bar that matches your website's experience, allowing customers to access information directly on your site from the tracking page.
For each section, you can map it to different links depending on language & country of the customer. You can also translate the category name to further localize the experience.
