This article explains how to set up shipment costing in Carriyo dashboard.
Shipment costing profiles allow users to have a full overview of shipping costs over a period of time for any given carrier account by making use of the settlement report.
Shipment costing profiles can be associated to a carrier account or a group of carrier accounts. Each costing profile is composed of rules that calculate the shipment cost based on business rules.
Step 1
To access this feature, click on Carriers > Costing.
Step 2
Click on New to create a shipment costing profile and fill out the required information.
Shipment costing profiles can be created to assign an estimated cost to shipments every time there is a successful booking

Name | Name of the shipment costing profile |
Carrier accounts | Carrier or group of carriers associated with the shipment costing profile |
Carrier billing currency |
Determines the currency that will be used to calculate the cost of each shipment and the settlement reports.

Default shipment cost |
The default shipping cost will apply to a shipment when no Costing Rule are applicable. |
Step 3
Set up the costing rules by clicking on New and filling out the required information.
Costing rules are applied to shipments at the time of booking to calculate the cost of each individual shipment.

Step 4
Click Save.
