How to create a location – CARRIYO

This article is about creating locations in Carriyo manually step by step.

Locations can be used to hold information about stores, warehouses, fulfilment centers or other organizational locations and business units.

Locations can be used to facilitate the creation of shipments but also to create routing rules, service levels and other functionalities that can be configured for specific business locations which are stockholding shipping locations.

Locations can also be associated with specific merchants when necessary to ensure they cannot be used by other merchants within the same account.

Step 1

Click on New.

Configure the location by filling out the required (*) parameters.

Users with the role Operator can be assigned to specific locations to ensure they can only view shipment information associated with the specified location they are assigned to.

N.B: Only users with the role Admin, Manager and Account Manager can create and edit Locations.

Parameters	Description
Location Name	Name of the location.
Code	Code of the location (external).
Merchant Access	Indicates if the location is accessible to all merchants or specific merchants in your organization.
Contact Details	Location contact details Contact Name Email Phone Number Alternative Phone Number
Address Details	Location address details Address Line 1 Address Line 1 Area Country City State Postcode Latitude Longitude What3Words Address
